2)The plant should have a history that predates 2013. The History of this strain dates back to 2007. Its is not the identical plant but a sibling of what we are sequencing today and it matches what is known from other sources about this 2007 plant. The long RNAse step is likely enabling other nucleases to digest the DNA.
