Illinois switches to new vendor for cannabis seed-to-sale system

May 2023, the Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced that Illinois was switching its cannabis seed-to-sale tracking system from BioTrack to Metrc and listed this transition as an Essential Projects in the FY2023 Annual Cannabis Report and again in the FY2024 report.
