Poll: Majority of Americans Favor Designating Cannabis Dispensaries as “Essential Services”

Nationwide polling data compiled by YouGov.com reported that 53 percent of respondents believe that medical marijuana dispensaries “should be considered essential services.” ” Support was strongest among self-identified Democrats (62 percent), but was significantly lower among Republicans (43 percent). .”

Missouri: Medical Cannabis Dispensary Licenses Awarded

Under the law, which voters approved in 2018, regulators must license a minimum of 24 dispensaries in each of Missouri’s eight congressional districts. Regulators have already registered 27,000 patients to participate in the cannabis access program. Licensed dispensaries are expected to be operational by this spring.
