Today, the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) announced adopted amendments to the Illinois Industrial Hemp Act , effective Dec. 23, 2024. The new rulemaking affects academic, government, and commercial institutions that participate in the industrial hemp program. According the Flinn Report and Illinois Register , the acceptable THC level for commercial hemp and hemp products is no more than 0.3 percent by dry weight.
