Just a few short years ago, CBD – the non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp and marijuana to different degrees – was rather obscure. California is on the brink of legalizing hemp-derived cannabidiol (“Hemp CBD”) in many products—well, sort of. The law at issue is Assembly Bill 228 (“AB-228”), and I’ve been writing about it since it was introduced in January 2019 (for my posts on it, see here , here , and here ). As of today, it’s made its way through the California Assembly and most of the way through the California Senate with very little resistance.

As the debate over legalizing marijuana heats up, many continue to dispute the value of marijuana as a treatment for various ailments.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried cannabis edibles bought at the dispensary and found them to be fantastic. Of course, now you want to make your own, because cooking is your passion, or maybe just a great outlet for your creative juices. Making your own edibles with marijuana is easy enough. All you need to do to get started is make the cannabutter and then follow any recipe, substituting the cannabutter, in part or all, for regular butter.
