Let’s be honest, medical cannabis is not the most pressing issue in Washington these days. I have experienced firsthand from walking the halls of Congress, that while a majority of members are sympathetic to the needs of patients, most do not understand the issue of medical cannabis much less that there is a way forward.
"Historically, when given the choice, voters have consistently chosen to reject cannabis criminalization and to embrace legalization and regulation. Ohioans have seen similar legalization laws adopted in neighboring states and they know that regulating the cannabis market is preferable to the failed policy of prohibition." While trying to keep track of a constantly expanding list of strains, I come across a lot of cake, mac, cookie, and glues on Illinois dispensary menus, so I’m interested when I find a new strain name. NuEra has recently dropped Oh Snap! as diamonds and sauce, and since it was my first time encountering the hybrid strain, I picked up a sample at NuEra Champaign to review.
Hawaii’s island of Maui will need billions of dollars in relief and reconstruction funds in the coming years after the US’ worst wildfire in a century turned the town of Lahaina to ash. The U.S. cannabis industry is still in its infancy, even though states began engaging with legalization in one form or another in the late 1990s. Today, many opportunities exist for individuals and businesses that want to engage in the industry. Some want to directly own licensed businesses, while others prefer to keep the industry at an arm’s length and merely profit from it.

I must have heard a millions times some form of the phrase, “He’s just an old stoner.” Those outside the cannabis community have used the phrase to belittle. Those in the community have used the phrase to endear. Well, in Illinois, the phrase might fit more than expected. According to a recent report from Headset , a data platform for the cannabis economy, Illinois has a higher representation from Baby Boomer and Gen X generations than other states.

In a recent controversial move, Mastercard issued a directive to United States banks, ordering them to block cannabis purchases on its debit cards. The decision has ignited a firestorm of debate, primarily due to the unique nature of debit cards. For years, most major credit cards have prohibited cannabis purchases with minimal public outcry. This new mandate struck a chord because, unlike credit cards, debit cards are linked directly to an individual’s bank account.

I’ve been sampling a large variety of infused-preroll products this year. As the category explodes in size, every time I finish one review, I find another cultivator producing a new infused preroll. I recently stopped into Curaleaf Skokie , where the staff turned me on to the Diamond Infused Prerolls from Grassroots. I picked up the Acaí Mints pack to see how they stood up to the rest of the market.

We check in on Alabama, where licensing has been an issue. We note that New Hampshire will now be studying legalization.
The era of the vape cart is here. The category ranks second only to flower in market share. One of the biggest complaints I have about the classic cartridge—they simply don’t last long enough—is also one of the easiest fixes. Airo has recently responded to the needs of the consumer, like myself, by adding full-gram options to its line, including this full-gram Blue Dream Vape Cart.

While I may complain about a lack of infused baked goods at Illinois dispensaries, there’s no shortage of strains named after baked goods. I recently stopped in at Star Buds Burbank where Kaviar had recently added Biscotti to its lineup. Interested in what the craft label is bringing to market with the cookie-heavy strain, I picked up a sample to review.
